Lunch Money

So my friend Allison and I have been eating smart ones microwaveable meals for the last two weeks here at work, for two reasons. To eat healthier and to save money. My great friend Ryanne has joined us quite often as well and she developed quite an inspirational system for us to follow. We thought of three things that we really wanted to buy and made a chart.

Here is mine...

When you eat a meal at the office, instead of out you get to cross one of your numbers and when they are all crossed off you get to reward yourself with the item of your choice! Some have more numbers than others which means it is more expensive.

As you can see, none of my numbers are crossed off yet, which means that since I made this chart yesterday, I ate out yesterday. Today will be better, and also one lunch closer to Post secret!

It's a fun plan, thank you Witt family for the inspiration!

I think I have a gift...

I think I have a gift for inventing things, the only problem is I never tell anyone about them. I truly believe that if I kept a journal of all of the things I have secretly invented it would double as a checklist for informercials. Here is another one that I recently found that I invented( in my head) when I was about 13.

If only I had the dough to patent things.... then I would be living the life.

back to our roots..

Brandon and I are each from the 909 ( well we each lived there at one point in our lives... so we're ghetto fabulous.) On sunday Bran decided that he wanted to take me to the mission inn, which is a historical American landmark and an amazingly beautiful place! We grabbed some delicious starbucks and drove out to Riverside! This place is seriously amazing, if you have never gone you should treat yourself to a day out there. It was a little crowded because there were 2 weddings happening that day, but it was so worth it. There are couple of beautiful chapels that you can explore and the gorgeous architecture of the mission. We walked down to an antique store where Bran met a beautiful Grandma and picked up some Nat King Cole and Ray Charles records, not to mention a record of music that was played at a prom in 1920, awesome.

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure... the 909 rocks!

we finished off the day at Heroes, a restaurant in downtown Fullerton, so rad... I mean you throw peanuts on the floor... my kind of place!

Hey Hey I love to online shop!

It is 11:30 at night and I am exhausted, yet I cannot resist the urge to be on the internet and shop. I love it because I feel like I can just "jump" (shout out to jumper) to any store I want to. I can put whatever I want in my shopping cart and then if I don't want it I just exit out of the window, no putting it away, no debating in line if I really have the dough to buy it. It is pure un-interrupted bliss. These are a few of my frequent shop stops.... what are yours?

urbanoutfitters
Nordstrom
Target
amazon
Fred Flare
Forever 21
and just for fun Tiffanys
Anthropologie
That is just a sample, I am not kidding when I say that I love to online shop. Tonight I put about 12 items in my cart between target and amazon, I purchased 0.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

chinese pictures

Here are some pics!

Finally posting about China!

Gosh, I have been back from China for a really long time and I am finally posting!

The trip was absolutley AMAZING! Everything is so different there. I honestly thought I was going to die while on every car ride partly because driving there is out of control. The lines are not even suggestions, I am pretty sure there is no need for them, that goes for red lights as well. Sidewalks double as streets when there is traffic and pedestrians have no right aways. The only form of structure I saw was cameras along every highway ticketed you through a camera if you were over the speed limit. At one point our driver ( yes we had a driver, I will get to that later.) stopped on the highway, in the middle, and got out of the car, and waited for another driver to do the same, so he could get directions. I mean really?

The food was seriously sick, I never even had a full meal of chinese food. I thought I did, but Brandons dad told me it was Japanese. I was ok with that. I mostly ate spaghetti, pizza and pancakes. Good solid diet. The most disgusting food came from a buffet we went to at the top of the pearl tower, it rotated, oh yes the whole restaurant rotated. The buffet consisted of egg rolls ( which were filled with sugary bean paste aka poo.) fish, more fish, some sushi, spaghetti, ribs and my favorite part the "delicious combination." The DC as I call it, was not food, i gurantee it. Brandons dad said if they can't find a translation for it in english that you should not eat it, honestly I wasnt going to either way. The only way I did not starve to death is Brandons mom is an amazing cook, we ate gourmet at their house! Oh, and american food is so expensive! A tiny cup of ben and Jerrys was 14 american dollars! Pringles can was $9! Crazy.

We flew to a place near Russia called Haerbin where it was -20 at night, so cold! I felt like I was in a slurpee machine at all times, but it was so fun!

We asked the man working at the hotel where a western restaurant was and he directed us to it. We got there and I think it is where Anastasia lives. There was a giant Russian family there drinking so much vodka and literally smoking the entire time. It was amazing. The decor in the restaurant was old pictures of Hollywood movie stars such as Drew Barrymore after ET, Leo Dicaprio in Titanic and Britney Spears in her debut album. It was amazingly awful. Terrible food, but really fun.

I don't want to typt out every story, but there are a lot, ask me about the Tiger park, all I can say here is watch this video.
